Abertis Awards

Every year, each of the Abertis Chair in Transport Infrastructure Management and Road Safety give out an Abertis Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis and Master Thesis from the universities in the country where the chair is located.


The Abertis Prize is the precursor to the Abertis Chair International Prize. The winners of each national edition will be entered in the running to win the International Prize. The winners of the International Prize will be the overall winners from the participating countries.

Spain

La Cátedra Abertis creó el Premio Abertis de investigación sobre Gestión de infraestructuras y servicios del transporte en España el año 2003, y el Premio Abertis sobre Seguridad Vial el año 2016, dirigido al reconocimiento de estudios y trabajos de investigación inéditos realizados por estudiantes universitarios, y que traten sobre los distintos aspectos relacionados con la gestión de las infraestructuras y los servicios del transporte, así como sobre la Seguridad Vial.

France

La chaire Abertis-École des Pontscrée le 6e Prix Abertis de gestion des infrastructures de transport. Ce prix valorise des études et des travaux de recherche innovants dans la gestion des infrastructures et les services de transport.

Puerto Rico

La Cátedra Abertis-UPRM crea el Premio Abertis de investigación sobre gestión de infraestructuras del transporte en la que otorgará dos (2) premios para los estudios y trabajos de investigación inéditos generados en el ámbito universitario tanto para doctorado como maestría y que traten sobre los distintos aspectos relacionados con la gestión de las infraestructuras y los servicios del transporte, donde el componente de análisis y modelización tenga una relevancia significativa.

Chile

La Cátedra Abertis-PUC, cuyas entidades promotoras son Abertis, Fundación Abertis y la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), ofrece el Premio Abertis Chile, de investigación en ingeniería y gestión de transporte, para los estudios y trabajos de investigación inéditos realizados por estudiantes de universidades chilenas, que traten sobre cualquier aspecto relacionado con la gestión de infraestructura y servicios de transporte.

Brazil

The University of São Paulo (USP) is a public institution affiliated with the Ministry of Economic Development, Science and Technology. Various rankings which measure the quality of universities according to certain criteria have highlighted USP’s scientific production and the talent and dedication of its teachers, students and employees, which are the result of more than 75 years of intensive work in search of excellence.

Mexico

The “Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México” is a public research university. It is one of the largest universities in the world, with over 330 thousand students. UNAM is present in 28 states of Mexico and in the USA, Canada and Spain, China and Costa Rica. It occupies a prominent place in the world ranking of universities, due to its extensive research and innovation.

Its main campus, Ciudad Universitaria, is one of the biggest in the world and is a World Heritage Site since 2007.

Italy

The University of Padua is one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious seats of learning. As a multi-disciplinary institute of higher education, the University aims to provide its students with professional training and a solid cultural background. The qualification received from the University of Padua act as a symbol of the ambitious objectives respected and coveted by both students and employers alike.
